Gruen Advisors GmbH (“GA”) acted as financial advisor to Vici Industri AB (“Vici”), a portfolio company of Stiftelsen Industrifonden (“Industrifonden”) and Fröjdia Group AB (Fröjdia”), in its sale to Gnutti Carlo S.p.A. (“Gnutti”), a leading manufacturer of high performance valve train and fuel injection components with a global footprint. The deal closed on Dec. 4, 2014.

GA advised as part of a cross-border advisory team the shareholders on the exploration of various strategic alternatives, including the consideration of a strategic sale.

“GA’s strong appreciation of the subtleties of the industry landscape in which Vici operates and its knowledge added value throughout the process. GA’s experience and hands-on approach was vital to us finding the most knowledgeable and best suited partner for the next stage of Vici’s growth. Their commitment created significant value to all shareholders throughout the entire sale process,” said Thomas Fröjd, Founder and General Manager of the Fröjdia Group AB.

“It has been a pleasure working with the shareholders and the VICI team to help them identify a strategic partner they believe is ideal,” said Martin Grün, Founder and Managing Partner, Gruen Advisors Gmbh. “Automotive M&A remains an active market for our practice and this transaction further establishes GA’s extensive industry experience.”
